Montenegro (10 to 15 May 2013)

Podgorica and Sutomore (10-13 May)

Kotor (13 May)

Herceg Novi (13 to 15 May)

People I met: Slobodan, Mirela and Emma Johnson.
Slobodan and I took a train to Sutomore. The scene of the train trail was amazing. The sparkling sea water and greenie lake water were so awesome. We strolled at Stumore beach (near to Bar)..but it was freezing. We went to a bar, people just smoking in front of the non-smoking sign.
I hitchhike to Kotor. It is a commercial touristic city. However, the view from the St John fortress was great. The bay is small but interesting by large cruises parking around.
The scene along journey from Kotor to Herceg Novi is awesome. It is not high in the mountain but just driving alone the coastline. Some churches are built on small islands which are just enough of one building in the middle of sea.
I stayed at Herceg Novi. It was hard to stroll around since it is a city on the mountain along Adratic Sea. There is no flat..only climbing up or down. The restaurants and hotels are too near to the beaches. The beaches become ‘small’.

 Prizren (10 -11 May 2013)

People that I met : Winfried Berndt
I arrived Prishtina around 10am. The city is nothing much to explore. Some buildings are interesting such as libruary. Rexhep Luci Street is full of bars or pubs and foreigners.
Chating with Winfried was a great experience. He had worked in Center Asia for around 10 years. There were so many interesting stories in those isolated countries.
Prizren is a heritage city. One day trip is good.
Prizren gave a bad information since the pretty staff  at Vendor Bus company( maybe the name is not correct but this is the only company which provides service to Montenegro) tried to cheat me. She told me the price to Podgorica was 20 Euro but after few seconds she corrected the price to 18 Euro. After long time discussion, she tried her best to help a poor traveler like me (after I reject my purchasing on the spot), giving me discount and warmed me that the bus driver may be dishonest…blab la…after she made few call and she succeed to get a cheap price for me ..15 Euro. Actually, 15 Euro is the fix price. My aunt just left her shop 30 minutes before my arrival. I met my aunt after leaving the company. I was really surprise d that she tried to cheat me since she was not an agent. She was a pretty but dishonest woman. Anyone help me to make a complaint to her boss!
Prizren is a heritage city. The best is no admission for all of the site seeing. We met an Albanian and had a nice conservation. He was upset that Kosovo is a secular country without applying Sharia law.

People that I met: Oliver  Maruskor and his family
I can find any hosts Ohrid since it was Easter holiday. We celebrated our Easter Saturday at a church near to the Valentine Room and Apartment. There was a crown during the midnight, do not worry about the security. Many Macedonians gave us free eggs during Easter Days. I really enjoy their hospitality.

I took a bus from Ohrid to Skopje (500 dinar). Macedonian government has spent millions of Euros to decorate the city with large status. I am little bit disappointed that the grand buildings and status just finished in this year. Some are still under construction! Overall, Skopje is a good city to visit.

My host, Oliver’s restaurant is amazing. Although it is not at the city center (2km), the food, service and environment are the best. I like the environment the best. It is a famous restaurant in Skopje. Oliver only told me the name of his restaurant without address. I was worry that to get there. However, this restaurant is so well-known. I kept asking direction from bus station to city center , his restaurant. All of them know about this restaurant which called Dva Elena (Two Deers restaurant)!!!
I upload all the foods that I ate in Dva Elena…please have a look.
