People I met: Joyce, Casey, Maartin, Juliano and his family
I stayed with Joyce in Delvine, a small town near to Sarande. Nothing much to expose in this small town.
It is quite tough to climb/walk up to 40 saints monastery but the paranomic scene of Sarande made your walk worth.
Sarende beaches are good. Some are full of little stones, good for foot massage.
Joyce, Casey and Sarah are Peace Corps volunteers. They are very friendly and energetic.
Staying with Albanian family was an amazing experience. I learnt a lot of Albanian cultures and ate organic Albanian foods. Juliano family is amazing. Education is free, they never pay for learning. Juliano learnt Greek and English from songs and movies. They built they home by learning from mistake. Only the rich would employ labour for wiring, building and others. I always pay for learning! Elsi (Juliano youngest brother) fancy with Chinese character. He asked me to write many Chinese characters on his body and arms. Don’t forgot to have a cup of Albanian coffee (Turkish coffee) and then asked your host/ hostel owner to foretell your future from the pattern of the turn over coffee cup!
Are Albanians poor? NO. The most popular cars are Mercedes. They bought house without loan. How does it work since their salaries are low? Ask your host!
